An Arizona beauty queen is not starting off the New Year on the right foot! 25-year old Kumari Fulbright was arrested today along with three other men with charges of kidnapping, armed and aggravated robbery, and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. Oh and the victim was Fulbright’s ex-boyfriend. Fulbright was Miss Pima County in 2005 and in 2006 she was Miss Desert Sun. Reports claim that Kumari and the men held the 24-year old captive for 10 hours torturing and threatening him.
This was a much needed break for the poor men out there; stereotypically one would associate a kidnapping or robbery with a man. Currently women account for only 16% of all felons convicted within a State Court. Hopefully the judge in this case won’t take her gender into consideration and look at the heinous act she committed and convict her on just that. Just goes to show you, anyone can commit a crime.
