Mets Lose Game, Division Lead

September 28, 2007

In what has been a dramatic turn of events, the New York Mets have lost 7 games on the Phillies in ten days, now in a tie for first place after the Mets lost and Phillies won.

The Mets, after getting swept by the Washington Nationals, lost a make up game to the St.Louis Cardinals, where they were shut out by Joel Pineiro and a crew of replacement hitters with no business in an MLB lineup, and of course Albert Pujols. The Phillies scored 4 runs off the Atlanta Braves before John Smoltz could even record an out, putting the Phillies on track for another victory.

The Mets and Phillies are now tied for first place of the National Leauge East, but after winning their last 8 matchups, the Phillies have the tiebreaker. The Mets are also behind the San Diego Padres in the Wild Card.

Pedro Martinez put forth seven strong innings, but the Mets could not get a lick of offense going. They looked dead, emotionless, and quite frankly, they looked done. Jose Reyes wasn’t jumping around, dancing, and high fiving everyone. Lo Duca wasn’t fired up, Pedro wasn’t goofy and energetic, and it looks like they’re just ready to go home and end the misery.

The Mets will end the regular season with a three game series against the Florida Marlins, who they won three out of four games against in their games last week. Oliver Perez, who pitched eight fantastic innings in his last start, will try to stop the bleeding for the Amazins-ly horribles on Friday night, with the struggling John Maine schedule to take the mount on Saturday. Tom Glavine will face Dontrelle Willis in the regular season finale. The Phillies will face the Washington Nationals, who gave the Mets enormous trouble.

We’re Back!

September 27, 2007

Hello faithful Cream Filled readers (and honestly I can’t believe you exist haha) you may have been wondering why there haven’t been any new posts in a while. Well me and the other head writer, Andrew, have been swamped. Life has gotten to each of us and we lost track of the blog, but fear not because we’re back! We even have some surprises up our sleeves, well I do. I don’t think Andrew has any idea. :P

Anyway just keep checking out the blog. I have a few things I want to type up. A few CD reviews, some coverage of whatever G4 is announcing tonight, and Andrew has a few ideas of stuff to write. We’re back and we’ll have some cool new things. Post some comments to let us know you’re reading. Thanks.

Jackass Number 3 Announced!

September 27, 2007

Wee Man Next To A Wee Pony

Today on the Howard Stern show Steve-O let it slip that there will be a third Jackass film coming! No, not the Jackass 2.5 DVD release that footage has been released for. I’m talking about Jackass 3, for theaters. Check out what he said:

“I was told to rest up for Jackass 3 which will start shooting in January,”

I’m assuming we’ll see a Fall release date for this if it is being made. I don’t know how trustworthy Steve-O is since it seems like he is constantly high now a days. I’d love to see the Jackass guys go for a third movie, but I doubt it will go too far. My predictions are Bam doesn’t come back, someone dies, Steve-O never shows up, and it just won’t be the same.
