Today marks the day that I officially become way overhyped about Super Smash Bros. Brawl and decided that I NEED the game. Why has this happened, you may ask. Well it’s because they announced an actual story mode!
The main reason why I’m loving this idea is because it’s exactly what I’ve been preaching that I wanted in Brawl. A story mode that is side scrolling (like the Super Mario level in Melee) that connects each character’s respective games in some way. Just read the description and watch the video. It’s so amazing. There are actual enemies too, which means boss battles! How incredible is that?!
Basically the description is saying that each character will be working together to thwart one central evil! That means Bowser and Mario, side by side. Kirby and Link, side by side. Yoshi and Solide Snake, side by side! It’s pretty much everyone Nintendo fan’s dream game come true. It’s definitely my favorite part of the game and I want a Wii more than anything right now.
I wonder though, why are they coming from Meta Knight’s ship? Maybe the story will revolve around newcomers messing things up, but Pit warns the veterans? It would explain Meta Knight’s ship. Also who could picture Snake actually working with the cuddly Nintendo crew?
I’m overjoyed, so this post seems really fanboyish. I’m sorry for that, I really am. I’m just so stoked, and it’s pretty early here so I really need some sleep.
